Abstract

Ergonomics in Malaysia has been introduced over a decade ago with the establishment of the ergonomics division in the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) on 1st December 1992. The main study is about soft ergonomics in manufacturing industries. The three hypothesis were examined while considering three human factor; physical limitation, cognitive ability and emotional needs. Research are conducted at Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat in Terengganu. The respondents of this study, are estimated to be around 42 respondents. The methodology applied using quantitative method and analyzed by SPSS software version 18.0 were used to analyze the data collected. The expected outcome to describe the issues, specific problem and measures associated with each factor. Furthermore, the data that will be obtain for this study can be used to suggest working performance for phone operator at Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat in Terengganu which can help them to stabilize mental condition. The result of this study shows the measurement of ability might occur and it can be used by organization as working references. Due to this, it will help to improve working performance during working time and avoid any mental and physical abuse.
