Abstract

Flood were the most devastating natural disaster experienced in Malaysia including Sabah and Sarawak. Recently Segamat had experience severe flood that bring damage in many aspect either economic aspect and social after the severe flood that happen in 2011. In Segamat a total number of victims is 11,040 were involved and 71 relief centers have been opened to transfer the victims to safer areas. Because of the severe flood, it cause the food supplies cannot reach to the relief center on time due to the difficulties to reach the center. Therefore, the objective of this research is to identify the critical success factor that contribute in disaster supply chain in Segamat. Therefore, the data were collected by qualitative method in sample of data purposive sampling that use to choose the participant that contributes directly in the humanitarian relief activity. The findings is to give better suggestions for improving the performance of the delivery of goods in terms of food aid to reach the victims in need and to determine the critical success factor in disaster supply chain.
