Abstract

The construction industry drives economic growth and development in Malaysia. This industry indirectly increases employment opportunities to the community. To enhance the growth of the construction industry, workers need to produce a good productivity. Worker's attitude play its own role in influencing the productivity of the resulting work. This study was conducted to identify the factors that caused the change attitude of workers at the construction site and the improvement measures to improving the attitude of employees to ensure productivity of the work increased. The scope of this study is concentrated in Johor Bharu, Johor. This study includes distribute questionnaires to G7 grade contractors. The findings show that the most agreed factor factor is the work pressure due to the many workloads. Additionally, enhancement measures for the most agreed-upon employee attitude are the project manager giving a clear statement of safety procedures so that employees comply with all safety regulations at construction sites. In conclusion, the attitude of the workers to the construction activity is important. This is because the attitude of the workers in the construction activity can affect the productivity.
